STORY BEHIND THE "BOX": The distinct look of beetle-kill pine—produced by the infestation—Beetles invade the bark of mature lodgepole and ponderosa pines and lay eggs. The resulting larvae feed on and ultimately are kiliing the trees in the west. A blue fungus carried by the beetles stains the wood, leaving telltale blue, green and gray streaks. Our boxes are lovingly handmade by Us, one-of-a-kind, finished with a recipe of beeswax + mineral oil, signed + numbered + sent from Colorado for you to enjoy for years to come!
